i really didn't know what to think of this and wasn't sure if i'd see it, but i was semi-dragged to it the other week and discovered it's full of awesome. i like steve carrell so i don't know why i was skeptical.

i am glad steve didn't try to impersonate the old get smart in any way. he just was himself. and very funny at that. steve can be some what type cast and have it not suck, unlike will ferrel who's basically the anchor man in different clothes each movie he stars in.

go see it!

I dun think I will. I used to LOVE Get Smart, and I'm fairly certain this movie would just piss me off. meh. ORIGINAL MOVIE IDEAS you Hollywood fucks!!!! LoL

well it's not exactly like the original. it takes on it's own way of doing it. it does the show justice without being a carbon copy piece of crap.

Get Smart was an amazing movie. I was just talking about this with Sami on MSN. It doesn't even come out here in the UK until August 22nd. WTF is that about? I saw it in Canada and loved it. I'm slightly biased because I adore Steve Carrel, but I thought it was funny and awesome in its own right.

When we came back here we noticed a lot of movies that had only just come out here have been out in England for ages. Other way round as well. It's weird.

movie releases are weird. the dark knight came out there two days before the US. that's weird given that most major films are out for like two - three weeks before they come out here.

Yeah, my friends think I'm weird because I kind of have a crush on Steve Carrel and I've been buying all the DVDs I can find with him in recently, haha. But he's just so charming, down to earth, modest and loveable, which is rare in an actor.

No. He's too nice. He has nothing he could bring to the role that could make us believe he's truly evil.

david's going to see it at 11pm tonight at imax. he's currently napping so he won't be dead tired tomorrow.

And it is REALLY weird with the whole movie release thing. The Bank Job, which was out in like February or something, hasn't even come out here yet. It's out this week or something.

I'm leaving in about ten minutes to go to Norwich Odeon Time to see Heath Ledgers final performance...
